Child of Two Lands

DSG animator Dan Panaitescu is currently working on the new project of award winning Irish photographer and filmmaker David Kinsella. „Child of Two Lands” is an original mix of documentary, fiction and animation, a dark adult fairytale based on real life experiences.
Inspired by ancient folktales from the indigenous tribe of the Dinka in South Sudan, it is the story of a lioness searching the world for the most beautiful man. Character design, art-direction and animation are done at DSG, with Dan Panaitescu as project lead.
David Kinsella won several prizes as a press photographer and directed powerful documentaries such as „Killing Girls”, „A Beautiful Tragedy” and „Love Letter’s from a Children’s Prison”. The last one was nominated by the American Film Institute for Best feature length documentary of 2006 and was the most successful Norwegian documentary of the same year.
